Our first time eating here and we will definitely stop my again! Food was great! Service was great! Great atmosphere and very kid friendly for our two year old. Super excited to come back!
Very good. 3 guys split the 4 person meal and some burnt ends and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the brisket, smoked turkey, and the pulled pork. The pork could have used a tad more rub but was all good. The sauces are very good. Sides were excellent.
Me and my wife got married in July of 2023. We had Mitchell hill cater our wedding. Everything from the first phone call to final cleanup was amazing. I forget the exact names, but everyone who cooked, served, answered our emails was great. The food was awesome and all our guest loved it. They setup, served with a smile and then packed up. I called several other places before deciding to select Mitchell. Best service, great price, amazing taste! Thank you for making the food part of our wedding painless!
So.... i'm extremely confused. I ordered brisket, burnt ends, & pulled pork. From a BBQ place. I have no idea what i ended up with. The pulled pork tasted like a mix of hotdog and pastrami, and not in a good way. The brisket is clearly broiled or something because it tastes like boiled dinner (hints of cabbage and carrots). The burnt ends were the icing on the cake...absolutely nothing burnt about them, they were just bigger cubes of what tastes like boiled meat. Nothing tasted like bbq even at all. Then i found a mystery bowl of what i thought was minestrone soup, honest to god, and it ended up being the beans i forgot i ordered. Horrendous. I swear on everything im more confused and disappointed than anything. Theres no way anyone can call this bbq. Yes the brisket was brisket, but it was cooked in the most mysterious way, that it tasted like something totally different. The sauces i tried were the whiskey bournbon and the bobs original sauces, with the spicy waffle fries. Fries were excellent, and i think the sauces compliment the taste of the food. I threw every bit of it, minus 2 bites of each meat (one from me and one i HAD to have my wife try it in disbelief), in the trash. Now food aside, the girl at the front counter was super nice and the dining area looked nice on the walk in. Maybe this is like a russian or slovakian "bbq" style, where all proteins are cooked in a pot with cabbage and veggies, and not the smoker, heavy rub, yummy bark type im used to.
Horrified, first, the price of the meal was almost 15 more dollars than the menu stated. Got home, NO RIBS in the meal, we ordered ribs...the corn bread was rock hard, like it was old and re-microwaved, the mashed were so salty you couldn't eat them. Called to complain that they forgot our ribs and offered us 10 percent off the meal, thats 7 dollars, not even the price of the ribs! First time there, last time there! The dessert that came with the meal for two is unrecognizable, I want to support local businesses, but this was just too bad! Bar keep was nice though...
